Lead Analyst | Macroeconomic Modelling, Fiscal Policy and Public Finance

Dr. James Ochieng  is an economist with over 10 years of experience in macroeconomic analysis, fiscal policy, debt sustainability, public finance statistics, forecasting, econometric modelling, and policy simulation. He has contributed to major national, regional, and continental economic reports, including the African Economic Outlook 2023, Africa’s Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook 2023, the AfDB @60 Report, and several Kenya Economic Reports. His professional experience spans UNICEF, the African Development Bank, KIPPRA, AERC, COMESA, and other policy institutions, where he has supported macroeconomic modelling, fiscal incidence analysis, policy simulations, regional economic outlooks, and evidence-based advisory work. Currently, Dr. Ochieng serves as Lead Analyst for the RMLF fiscal implications study at ARC LTD.
